look at next year
The Sox look really strong next year. They have a very strong and very young infield. 2nd basemen Chris Getz and 3rd basemen Gordan Beckem have played well beyond there age. According to Whitesox.com Beckem even won the Sporting News rookie of the year. The outfield is very good when healthy. Carlos has proven that he can put up numbers when he is healthy, but he has not been healthy a full season in his career. Rios started to pick up his game at the end of the year. The Sox also have one of the best 4 man rotations in baseball. The only thing the Sox desperately need are a center fielder, and a 5th starting pitcher. Kenny Williams always has a trick up his sleeve so hopefully he will make a big move this off season and pick up what the Sox need to win next year.

I do not follow baseball but it sounds like the White Sox really need to get some better players. It would of been nice to see what their year was like, you know the win-lose ratio. Hope they have a better season next year for you.
ReplyDeleteI don't follow baseball either, but maybe they should try the Yankee approach? Hire the best players from the other teams to ensure wins?
ReplyDeleteThe Sox are generally a good team. Being a Sox fan myself (Red Sox) I don't much follow the NL but I hope they continue to beat the Cubs!
ReplyDeleteWow a White Sox fan! I am so excited, I am a die hard White Sox fan myself. I am born and raised in Chicagoland and my dad taught me to love the White Sox and hate the Cubs! I think we had a decent year this past year but we were too young and made too many young mistakes. The pitching like you said as the ability to be really good with Mark Buerhle and new ace Jake Peavy. There is a rumor going around but neither team has confirmed it that the White Sox traded 2nd basemen Chris Getz and backup infielder Josh Fields for a player on the Kansas City Royals. I really hope this isn't true. Getz has a great deal of potential and Fields is a really good backup infielder and possible DH. Either way the team is looking pretty good for next seaon. I am excited to see what happens and hopefully we can have a successful season like in 2005.
ReplyDeleteOverall I normally follow softball over baseball, but it looks like all the Sox need are for all their team members to actually stay healthy for a season. Other than that it seems like theyve had a pretty good team this year. Hopefully they can come back a whole lot stronger.
